It is so nice to see that you are arranging this. I will not be able to make it this year but hope that everyone has a really nice time. It is wonderful that you are doing a reunion for Purnell’s Alumnae.

Thanks, and all the best to everyone from Tempe, AZ,

So sorry to miss this! May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I actually just got back from NJ.

I hosted a "Stick it to Stigma" Women’s Lacrosse event. After losing my brother Greg to suicide in 2020, I started The Gregory H. Montgomery Jr. Foundation to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention programs and mental health education for schools and communities. We recently put funds in Greg’s name at Red Bank Regional High School and Michigan State University. RBRHS has used some of the funds to certify all their coaches in Mental Health First Aid Training to identify children in crisis. MSU used some of the funds to hire two mental health professionals last year that they relied on heavily on how to handle the shooting tragedy in February. If anyone is interested in collaborating by way of donating, volunteering, brainstorming, anything…please reach out https://www.ultimategrowthfoundation.org/

Have a wonderful time. I so wish I could be there!

Much Love,

Margot Montgomery Moran ‘88

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it as my cases never seem to let up. I do apologize that I will be missing out on seeing everyone at Purnell June 17th. I hope the Purnellies have a fantastic time and look forward to pictures.

My very best to everyone and safe travels.

Hi Gail,Thank you for taking on all of the Purnell community communication. I will not be able to make it this year. Those two years were the some of the most impactful years in my life. Coincidentally I was just telling someone about our trip across country! [Cross Cultural Express 1981] What an amazing experience.
Thanks again for working hard to help keep us all connected.
Fondly,

Connie Hecker Simonson ‘81

I am so sorry to miss the day. My second oldest son is graduating.
I hope to make the event another year. Purnell was a very special place and am so grateful I attended such a wonderful school.
If anyone is around Massachusetts this summer, I would love to connect.

Katriena Pless Devlin 1988

Have a lovely time together in early June! We will miss seeing old friends.

While going through dusty files, our “we’re over 70 and need to purge stuff” process in full swing, I came across some special Purnell memorabilia: The faculty banquet song circa 1978, Christmas Vespers program circa 1977, programs for Mame, Once upon a Mattress, and Godspell, 12th Graduation Program, programs for the ’78 and ’79 Revues, and a complete  script of the 1978 Revue (which, obviously, was the last!). Oh Sigh. Such memories. Happy to donate these treasures to whatever archives might exist.

Love to all,

Peter and Mary Pierson- former faculty 1976-1980

I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend this great event! I will be thinking of everyone and look forward to next year.

Enjoy every minute -

Cathy/ Del Wynne del Colle 1985

What a wonderful way to keep us connected to the most wonderful school! I wish I could come but I had a fall off my horse and fractured my pelvis in two places as well as both hip sockets. I have to stay off my legs for a month and then PT my way back. I am so blessed - I’ll be back before you know it!
I hope you get more “Purnellies” on the list these upcoming weeks. It was a fabulous school!! Love to all.
